Footswitch Kit Contains:

• Spare shut-off diaphragm (recomend replacing this wear part every 1000 hours)

1. Use a shut off valve at the end of the SAND HOSE. When it's turned off, the abrasive flow stops immediately. However, when it's turned on, the SAND HOSE, which has filled with abrasive, takes 10 or more seconds to clear the excess. It also requires that the tank be refilled with abrasive more frequently. A valve at the end of the SAND HOSE is heavy and cumbersome. Therefore, most users remove it and use another method.

2. Close the INCOMING AIR VALVE. It will take 15 or more seconds for the system to depressurize. When the valve is opened, it takes several seconds to repressurize. This is the slowest method.

3. Close the MIXING VALVE and then the Choke Valve. This is quick; but then upon opening those valves, it takes several seconds to adjust the MIXING VALVE for the proper air and abrasive mixture.

4. Install a Glastar Air Actuated Foot Switch which turns the abrasive flow on and off immediately with no adjustments required. This product is also much safer than any of the other 3 methods because the instant the operator's foot is removed from the switch, the abrasive stream stops.
